DECREASE IN NATION AL DEBT Washington, D. C., Feb. s.—ln the last five months the total public debt has shown a decrease of about $930,000,000 and the floating debt $730,000,000, Secretary Houston announced yesterday in comparative statements of the public debt on Aug. 31, 1919, when the debt reached its peak, akd on last Jan. 31. The decreases were due principally to salvage and taxes.
