LETTERS FROM OUR READERS

ThOA Callaghan Writes From North Dakota. Parshall, No. Dak., i Jan. 29, 1920. Editor F. E. Babcock, Rensselaer, Ind., Dear Editor: lam enclosing two dollars for my subscription to The Democrat. We have to keep it coming as it keeps us posted on whatever is doing in old Jasper. We saw a letter in The Democrat from someon? in North Dakota this winter, and it surely made cue laugh. I forget the name of the writer; but think he was from Lisbon, but he should be in Jamestown from what he wrote. We have had quite a long winter and the early 'part of it was severe, but at that it is colder above ,zero in Indiana than it is here at fifteen below. Crops were hurt again last year by the drouth, hut we got a fair crop and a good price, so we keep doing fairly, and as we have a farmer governor and a farmer majority in out state legislature, at last we are getting a fair show in North Dakota at any rate. We send our greetings and best wislhes to all of our Indiana friends. Sincerely yours, THOS. CALLAGHAN.
