Obituary

Hazel May Hurley ' was born in Jasper county June 22, 1900, and departed this life Jian. 19, 1920. iHter age being 19 years, 6 months and 27 days. Since Hazel was nine years old she had lived with her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. MoCurtaln, along with her three brother*. Her mother died when Hazel wan nine, leaving a young baby. Thla child was also kept and oared for by Mrs. McOurtain, her mother's sister, until Its death. Hazel talked with her uncle the same day that she died and told him how grateful she was for all that he had tried to do to help her and ,she also said that death was welcome. She seemed Teady and willing to die for she did not fc&r Her suffering was borne very patiently and she was able to be up some even on the day of her death. She leaves to mourn her death three brothers, Vernon, Curtis and Alvin; her father, who Is 111 at this time, her uncle and aunt amid other relatives. Also a host of friends.
