No wonder the habit of lynching persists when three members are ready to stand up in the United States senate —as Mr. Ashurst of Arizona, Mr. Myers of Montana and Mr. Fletcher of Florida did recently—and speak in favor of shooting down the reckless motorists who imperil life in Washington.
