POUND STERLING GOING DOWN
Quotation* Set New Low Level In For* elgn Exchange*. New York, Nov. 21. —Foreign exchange again dropped to new low levels. Sterling brought >3.99%, which is 1% cents below Wednesday’s lowest quotation. Franc checks were quoted at 9.79 for the dollar, 5 centimes below Wednesday’s prices, while Ure checks sold at >12,57, off 13 centimes. Further liquidation at the opening of the stock market was attributed in some quarters to the senate’s rejection of the peace treaty. General Motors dropped 6 points and other motors 1 to 8. Declines of 1 to 2 points occurred in oils, steels, equipments and shippings.
