We sell a sow sired by the 1918 Grand Champiop of lowa, A’s Mastodon, 3 gilts and 2 boars sired by the 1917 Grand Champion of Illinois Chief Defender, a splendid half sister to Tolono Timm, a Gertsdale Bob sow bred by F. C. Forrest and another good sow bred by J. E. Meh arry and of the famous big bone breeding. We list other sows of Wonder, Big Joe, Superba, Long Chief and Buster breeding. Six of our sbws farrowed 72 pigs last spring. We sell 8 sows with litters, 8 tried sows, 14 sumther yearling gilts, 12 fall yearling gilts, 18 spring gilts, 13 good husky yearling boars, 16 spring boars and 10 early fall pigs. Our two lowa bred herd boars came from two of the best lowa herds. Mouw’s Dandy, 280305, is of Jumbo and Jones breeding, bred by Peter Mouw, who sold Gertsdale Jones for $6,600. This year the lowa Grand Champion is a son of Gertsdale Jones. Jensen's Model Orange B, 299567, is from the Jensen herd at Exira, lowa, and sired by Jensen’s Champion Orange B.
