CARLOAD OF SUGAR IS SEIZED
Owner Arrested on Charge of Prodteerlng and Released on Bond. Chicago, August 23.—Government agents seized a carload of sugar after the arrest yesterday of John Syme, a sugar Jobber, charged with profiteering. It is alleged that he purchased the sugar at |9.89 a hundred pounds and sold it to wholesalers at |12.25. The arrest of Syme was the fourth in the federal district attorney's campaign against sugar speculators. Byzne was released on 15,000 bond. According to the district attorney, the sugar at one time was owned by the John F. Campbell company, whose president and treasurer recently were charged with profiteering.
