COLLINS IS DISCHARGED State Fails to Implicate Lafayette Lawyer In lH*ath of Mrs. Long. Lafayette, August 12. —Edgar G. Collins, Lafayette attorney, charged with the murder of Mrs. Frelda Long, whose body was found on the floor of the Lafayette Loan and Trust building last Monday, was discharged from custody at the conclusion of a preliminary hearing held In the city court Saturday evening. The state failed to show a crime had been committed or that Collins knew the woman.
