There is to be an attempt by the Republican majority in the present extra session of congress to withdraw from farm loan bonds their exemption from taxation. It is announced also that there will be an effort to enact a high tariff. Thfrs. Republicans can’t be just to the farmer and generous to the special interests at one and the same time.
