Dear Mr. Spitler: Your letter of the 22d to the effect that Jasper pounty will present no bills for expenses Incident to the Victory loan campaign, is very gratifying Information. At the same time It is eloquent testimony of the efficiency with which the task was accomplished in your county. iWe are happy that we are able to take care of certain of the expenses Incurred by the county chairmen, but are very much gratified when such a report as yours Is presented as it enables us to reduce the cost of selling throughout the state. We are indeed grateful to you for everything you have done for us, and with kindest regards, we are, yours very truly, WILL H. W’ADE, Director of Sales for Indiana." In connection with the above it may be of interest to the people of Jasper county to know that in all of the five Liberty loan campaigns no financial assistance was received-, nor asked, from the federak government; -the expenses were borne by individual citizens throughout the count}'.
