100.000 PIKE PLACED IN IROQUOIS
One hundred thousand wall-eyed pike, or pike perch, were brought to Rensselaer Monday from the state hatcheries and placed in the Iroquois rlvier at the Grace street bridge. These fish were secured through the efforts of local sportsmen who want to see our river stocked with good edible fish. They assert that we will get several hundred thousand 'more fish yet this year from the state and government hatcheries, and that these fish will be protected from unlawful seining, as prosecutions will follow any violations of the fish law.
