POSTOFFICE CLERK MARRIED

Miss Fame Haas Becomes Bride of Earl Newby—.Married Monday. Miss Fame Haas, chief clerk In the Rensselaer postoffice for several years, and Mr. Carl G. Newby, who for the past year has been employed at the (Hilliard & Hamill store, were married Monday afternoon at Newcastle, Ind. The young couple left here. Sunday, going to Knightstown, the home of the groom’s parents, and thence to Newcastle Monday where the marriage took place. After a short wedding trip they expect to return to Rensselaer and take up their residence at the Haas home on Front street. The bride was born and raised in Rensselaer, and is an attractive and popular young lady and has made many friends in the efficient and pleasant manner In which she served the public In the Rensselaer postoffice. The groom prior to coming to this city was employed In The Hub clothing store in Chicago. During his stay in Rensselaer he has made many friends. The Democrat joins the many friends of the young couple in extending hearty congratulations.
