An appeal for continued support of the government’s war .savings campaign has been issued by Cardinal Gibbons. “We should welcome the Opportunity afforded by our government,” said the cardinal, “to continue the saving habit. To buy war ‘ savings is the clear duty of every American citizen, young and old. I urge all our clergy to promote this campaign by every means In their power. I urge otir good people to give their heartiest support, and from the splendid evidences of their patriotism shown in the last two years I am confident that It will meet with great success.”
