French Wife of Rensselaer Soldier Came Monday. Mrs. Samvel O. Duvall who, with her husband, landed in the U. 6. Jone day last week, arrived in Rensselaer Monday evening from Indianapolis, having been met there by her husband’s -mother, Mrs. John Duvall. Sam Is now at Camp Sherman, Ohio, but expects to be discharged in a few days. When America entered the war ■ihe took over those Americans serving with the French army, hence the necessity for Duvall to -pass through a demobilization camp in thia country and the consequent delay before returning, home. Sunday’s Chicago Herald-Exam-iner contained a good picture of Sam and his French wife, and Monday evening’s Indianapolis News had a large picture of the latter, together with a brief account of the rescue *of the young lady in the recapture of a French town by the. French soldiers after ,dt had been in the hands of the Germans for over two years, and their subsequent marriage.
