COUNTY MEET HELD BY K. OF P.

Remington Lodge Conferred Rank of Knight on Three Candidate*. A county meeting of the K. of P. lodges of Jasper eounty was held in Caatle hall in this city Tuesday evening, which was attended by a large delegation from the Remington lodge, the members of the local lodge and other visiting K. of P. The 'meeting was presided over by Deputy Grand Chancellor L. B. Elmore of Monticello, who made a very interesting address. The Remington lodge conferred the rank of knight upon three candidates, which furnished a part of the evening’s entertainment. The .work was put on in grand style by the Remington team, and their lodge is considered as one of the most active in this section of the state. Officers elected were J. P. Haanmond t president; Brown Lamborp (of Remington), secretary, and Mose Leopold, treasurer. The next county meeting will be held at Remington in December.
