SENATE TOLD OF RED PROPAGANDA IN U. 8. 1 t ■ Professor Dennis of Northwestern University Declares Chicago la Hotbed of Anarchism. Washington, Feb. 14.—Members of the bolshevik central cabinet in Russia were described by Prof. Ralph Dennis of Northwestern university, testifying at the senate committee’s Inquiry into lawless agitation in this country, as “fairly able men who truly believed theirs was the best way to bring about heaven on earth." ‘ But their way to heaven seeins to be through hell,” commented Senator Wolcott of Delaware. Mr. Dennis was a Y. M. C. A. worker and consular agent in Russia from the fall of 1917 until last September. The bolshevikl throughout Russia, he said, believed that the end justified the means.
