Boar picture shows a little of the size and large bone of our herd boars and a gentle disposition that is almost unequaled anywhere. Mouw’s Dandy 280305, at left, is of Jumbo and Jones breeding. We bought him of the greatest breeder in America, Peter Mouw, who later sold Gertsdale Jones for $6,600 in his dispersal sale. Last year Big Square Jumbo, also bred by Peter Mouw and of close kin to Mouw’s Dandy, was Ist prize aged boar at Springfield, 111., and stands at the head of the great MeHarry and Caverly herds. MeHarry’s last fall boar sale averaged $299 and Caverly almost always tops all sales in the state. Mouw’s Dandy weighed over 700 lbs. before threshing time last year and was not two years old until late last fall. He sired 78 pigs in 7 litters Many of his gilts are in the sale. „ Jensen’s Model Orange B 299567, at the right, weighed almost as much as the Mouw boar and is younger. He sired 74 pigs in 7 litters. The Superba gilts in sale are sired by him. .His sire was the great lowa champion, Orange B. Our young herd boars for reference. Ass we had so many sows and gilts to breed we bought our young boars. , They are good individuals from good litters and certainly have good breeding and will make good. Missouri Leader has the blood of the 1918 Missouri Grand Champion and will show you. He bred Superba gilts. Sage’s Big Timm was sired by Grant Timm, a winner at the last National Swine Show. A half-brother to our Big Timm sold for SI,OOO last fall. Our Big Timm bred Mouw gilts. • 1 Our Superba gilts by Orange B are from the daughters, of our first sow, W. C. Superba’s Giantess 619652, who made our herd and whose sire Superba was Grand Champion at San Francisco world’s fair. Our Beauties mostly by Mouw’s Dandy are of Beauty, Wonder, Price, Prospect and Long Chief breeding. Our Big Bob family. As we wish to have hogs to sell next year that are unrelated to our Superbas and Beauties we bought our splendid Big Bob boar and a few good gilts to breed to him.
