ANNA HARTLEY STRONG DEAD
Former Resident Dies of Pneumonia In Jackson, Mich. Mrs. Gerald D. Strong, adopted daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Hartley of Lafayette, but former residents of this city, died at her home in Jackson, Michigan, Tuesday, from pneumonia, 'following influenza. Mr. and Mrs. Hlartley were with her when she passed away. She leaves a husband and one child, a little son about two years of age. Mrs. Strong, whose maiden name was Miss Anna Hartley, resided with her foster parents at Remington for several years, later going with them to Tacoma, Wash., where she graduated from the Tacoma high school. A few years ago the family returned to Indiana and settled in Rensselaer, where she was married some three years ago to Dr. Strong, of Jackson, Mich. She had a host of friends here and at Remington who will be grieved to learn of her death. The funeral was held at Homer, Mich., Thursday, this being the old home of the Hartleys as well as that of her husband.
