FINE GROWING WEATHER CONTINUES
The weather for the past several days has been ideal for growing crops and for plowing corn, except that it was yet too wet Friday and Saturday in some of the fields to work. Corn has made a wonderful growth, as well as all other crops, for the ipast two weeks, and in many of the fields last Sunday there was corn that by straightening up the shoots would reach one’s knees. Indications now are that all will be nearly shoulder high by July 4 if this splendid growing weather continues. Rye will be fit to cut in a week or ten days, and it promises an excellent yield, too. Wheat is generally all headed out and never looked better, while oats are also looking the finest kind and will be ia bumper crop if conditions are favorable at filling time. No better growing weather was ever known here and if the elements behave we shall have remarkable good crops of all kinds.
