Indianapolis, Jan. 25.—The formation of a coal pool here to avert the danger of another fuel famine was attempted by County Fuel Administrator Jameson, following conferences with dealers. The plan provides: Collection and collating of data on dealers’ equipment; estimating of dealers’ needs, based on past business; zoning of the city to determine the shortest routes for relief work; settlement of prices and the supervision of all distribution in the city and effective means for emergencies as they arise. The statement closely resembles coal pools operating successfully in Cleveland and other cities.
