But during the night it got warmer again and yesterday it mas thawing considerable, the mer<mry at noon having risen to 35 degrees in the shade, but at 2:30 it h%d dropped to ?2, Weather predictions are for “unsettled iSuj colder” today. "Uncle” Charlie Pnllins, who usually has the almanac and government weather sharps beaten to a standstill when it comes to prognostigating, says we will have no real break-up until the middle of February. We hope he is wrong, but the indications that he is are not promising.
