WILL START A NEW BAKERY

John N. Bicknell Expects to Open for Business January 1. John N. Bicknell was in Monticello Wednesday and closed a deal for the S. K. Jones bakery and restaurant, and axEoances his intention of moving the oven and equipment to this city and opening a bakery here about January 1. He has leased the Leopold room on Van Rensselaer street, where the business will be located. Mr. Bicknell told a reporter for The Democrat that he was too old to go to war but felt that he could render a patriotic service to the country by selling the staff of life at the lowest minimum of profit. Mr. Bicknell is now closing out the restaurant stock at Monticella and plans to move the oven and fixtures to this city within the next week or fen days.
