NOTES OF THE FARMERS’ CLUBS
The regular meeting of the North Marion Farmers’ club will be held at the Bowling Green school house next Tuesday evening at 8 o’clock. Mrs. diaries Horsewood states that the following program will be given: 1 “Patriotism for the Farmer”... W. L. Wood “Community Building” ....... L. H. Hamilton “The Sheep and Wool Situation” ........ County Agent Learning Everyone is invited to attend. An open meeting for t)he instruction of the seventy-five boys who have applied for membership in the county Shorthorn club will be held here at the office of the county agent this afternoon at 2 o’clock. At this meeting the detail plans of the drawing of the heifers will be fully explained and any questions concerning the distribution will fie answered. Clarence Lfenry, assistant county agent leader; F. M. Schanklin. state leader of live stock clubs, and several prominent Shorthorn breeders will be present and discuss various phases of the work. The meeting will be open to the public and any one interested is cordially invited to attend. “I am very well pleased with the quality of the seventy-five boys who have already applied,” said Ad Parkinson of the purchasing committee, “and I feel that when the time for receiving applications closes, next Tuesday evening, we will have the very best boys in the county for the officers of the Live Stock Breeders’ association to pick from, and a good start will mean much in making the venture a success.’’ The distribution will be made at the Rensselaer Stock show October 12 auf 13. \
