Concerning the affair the Kankakee Gazette said: Emmor Switzer of Rensselaer, Indiana, was arrested by the police Saturday evening f-or operating a taxicab without a license, for which he was fined $25. Switzer came here Saturday morning and claimed that he only carried passengers to the fair grounds during the afternoon. He said he did not know that a license was required, adding that they do not do that wray in Rensselaer.
