NOTES FROM COUNTY HOSPITAL

Mrs. John Rusk of llarkley township was operated .on Saturday for appendicitis, and is doing nicely. Mrs. Ella .Rishjing, who had her limb fractured some time ago s by falling from a motorcycle, ' Is Improving nicely and is able to be around in a wheel chair a part of the time. True D. Woodworth is improving at Hits writing. Mrs. George Foulks of Monticello is recovering nicely from her recent operation. Roxie Gunyon of Parr underwent an operation for appendicitis yesterday. The operation was successful and at this writing she is resting quite well. Lester Wortley; the little 9-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Wortley of west of town, while playing with a target rifle Monday, was shot in the abdomen by Hie accidental discharge of the gun. He was brought to the .hospital and Is in quite a serious condition, the doctors not having as yet been able to remove the bullet., Mrs. Amanda Morlan, mother of Charles Morlan, entered the hospital Monday for treatment. Mrs. William Polleck of Morocco, a daughter of James Myers of Rensselaer, was brought over in W. J. Wright’s ambulance Monday afternoon and placed iji the hospital, arriving here about 4 p. m., and (passed away four hours later. She was suffering from. blood poisoning and her condition was quite serious when she reached the hospital. Besides her parents here she Is survived by her husband and a 10-months-old child. The funeral will be held at Alx ai. 2 o'clock this afternoon, Rev. Beard preaching the sermon, and burial will be made in the Dunkard cemetery.
