RAIN HAS STOPPED THRESHING
Another heavy rain Monday evening in the territory south of Rensselaer, and . w-hich was especially heavy over about Remington and south of that place, has stopped threshing temporarily. The one job of threshing in this vicinity on Tone Kanne’s farm, made an average yield of foyty-five bushels per acre, according to report. As
stated in Saturday’s Democrat the quality is uniform and good and the grain heavy' Some little wheat has been threshed and the yield is fairly good but the quality poor, so Babcock & Hopkins stated. One lot of 1.700 bushels coming to them was badly affected by smut and will be largely lost. A day or so of sunshine now and eight or ten thrashing machines In this vicinity will commence work.
