Gary. Aug. 3.—Robert J. Lariiotte. -official in a Gary steel plant, was directed by the war department to return his commission as lieutenant in the engineers’ reserve corps and stay on the job making steel. ‘‘You’re more valuable where you are than you would be on the firing line,” he was told.
