Jasper County Democrat, Volume 20, Number 25, Rensselaer, Jasper County, 23 June 1917 — REAL CORN WEATHER NOW [ARTICLE]

REAL CORN WEATHER NOW

We have" had fine growing weather for the past week and the farmers have been able to work in their corn fields every day. As a result corn is doing nicely and all other crops are growing fine. With average weather for the balance of the season Jasper county will have bumper crops this year with the exception of wheat, and even wheat has come out much better than expected .although the acreage is small because of so much being winter killed. Rye is good and with the larger acreage of both oats and corn —the largest acreage ever put out in the county —pur farmers have no just cause for complaint over crppprospects at this time. * .
