MRS. MARY CHESTNUT DEAD
Body of Former Resident Brought Here for Burial. A telegram was received here Wednesday night by relatives stating that Mrs. Mary Chestnut, widow of Thomas O. Chestnut, an old soldier and a former resident of Rensselaer, had died that evening at the home of her son Earl in Lansing, Michigan, with whom she had been living for the past few years. S'h.e had been in failing health for quite a long time and had been down in her last illness for eleven weeks. 'Her age was about seventy-five years. She leaves two. children, Earl Chestnut of Lansing and Scott Chestnut of Rensselaer. The body arrived here yesterday evening and was taken to the home of Mrs. A. Pi Burton where private services will be held this morning and burial made in Weston cemetery.
