From the Alleged Elopers by the Parents of Girl. In reply to the query if he had heard anything further. from his daughter, Miss Clay Nevil, 'who is supposed to have eloped last Sunday with Arthur Gosnell and was married at Kewanna, Michigan, according to a telegram H. C. Nevil, the girl’s father, says he received from his daughter Monday, Mr. Nevil said to The Democrat yesterday that he “had not.’’ Asked if they had returned hornfe, he said, “I don’t know.’’ Inquiry at the home of M. Gosnell, the young man’s parents, evoked the information that a telegram had been received Tuesday from their son, dated at lonia, Michigan', saying that he was at that place and would not be home for a few days. He did not mention being with the girl or say anything about being married. There is no such place as Kewanna, or any similarly named town in Michigan mentioned in the census reports, but there is a Kewannee in Wisconsin.
