Mrs;-©ora Jacks did shopping in Chicago. - There will be an Easter program and Mothers’ Jewels mite box opening alter Sunday school.. Mrs, G. A. Holeman. ’Visited during the week with her son Asa and family and' daughter, Mrs. Elzie Webb, and family. , Culp & Son have added a porch to the front of their hardware store,, which adds both in convenience and general appearance. Francis HoUlt, who was ' home sick with the measles, has recovered and returned to his work at Martin Ford’s, near Rensselaer, last Sunday. Mrs. Thorston Otterburg and little son Alfred of Rensselaer spent from Saturday evening till Monday morning her© with her parents, G. A. Jacks and wife.

POSSUM RUN Mrs. John Price has been on the sick list this week. Otha Spriggs is confined to his bed with the measles. E. A. Merrill helped T. J. Parker dehorn cattle Thursday. Several men are hauling stone for Jasper Cover thig week. Mrs. G. H. Comer called on Mrs. V. M. Peer Wednesday afternoon. William Hurley has moved into the place formerly occupied by William Gordan. Mrs. Jasper Cover and children, who had a severe attack of scarlet fever, 'are able to sit up some. Miss Orpha Parker spent from Saturday until Monday with Mr. and Mrs. Tames-Davis of Zadoc. Mrs. T. J.” Parker and daughters called on Mrs. Othel Caldwell and Myrtle Stockwell Friday afternoon. The two Cunningham boys are getting along fine with the diphtheria, but their mother is supposed to be taking it now. Sam Cavinder went to town Wednesday and got a load of oats for Jasper Cover. Mr. Cavinder is going to put them in for him.

VIRGIE Rev. Fleninger will preach here Sunday night. Charles Reed was a Rensselaer goer Monday. Miss Dora Florence visited school Wednesday afternoon. Miss Elsie Zellers spent over Sunday with home folks. The men are - now busy working on the church foundation.. Mrs. William Wilcox spent Friday with Mrs. George Cover. Miss Bertha Reed came home Friday for a few days’ visit. Miss Flossie Wiseman spent Sunday with Miss Margaret Pettet.. Miss Jessie Zellers came home Wednesday evening for over night. Mrs. X; Geesa called on Mrs. John Reed Wednesday afternoon. William IHlartley of near Laura worked for Charles Harrington Monday. Mrs. L. E. Harrington spent Friday afternoon with Mrs. Charles Harrington. Miss Flossie Wiseman and Dean Zellers were business callers in Rensselaer Saturday. Misses Minnie Homfeld and Esther Wiseman took the teachers’ examination Saturday.

MILROY Juanita Fisher went to Monticello Saturday. Elmer Clark lost a good horse Wednesday. George Beaver’s children have the measles. Mrs. Mabel Harwell visited her parents Tuesday. Jennie Harwell spent Sunday with Irma Clark. W. B. Fisher’s were at Frank May’s last Sunday. ' Mr. and Mrs. John Mitchell were in Rensselaer Tuesday. Mrs. Julius Huff spent Saturday with Mrs. George Foulks. Charles Marchand and daughter Evelyn have the measles. Mrs. Elsie and Tyiie Clark were in Lee Tuesday afternoon. William Garvin’s family have been entertaining the measles. Mrs. Griffith of Monon is visiting her son, S. D. Griffith, and family. Come to Sunday school at 10 a. m., Epworth League at 7:30 p. m. Mrs. Harry Rishling called on “Uncle” David Gulp Wednesday afternoon. Frank Darrow and Fred Pfrimmer spent Sunday with W. B. Fisher’s family. \ Sylvia Beaver has beep visiting her brother Ernest and wife near. Pleasant Ridge. Frank May spent Wednesday night with his father, who is r in very poor health again. It is thought best to close Lone Star school for this spring next Friday on account of the measles. Mrs. Earl and Mrs, George Foulks spent Wednesday with Mrs. Mary McCashen and daughter Ettie. George Faulks and family and Juanita Fisher took supper Tuesday

evening with, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Foulks. Miss Ettie McCashen went W Monon Tuesday to consult her physician. She seems to be improving very, slowly. V Mr. and Mrs. William Banes. There has not been any church services or Sunday school for two or three Sundays on account ot measles. Joseph Ross and wife of near Lee took dinner wth their daughter, Mrs. Robert Johns* and family Wednesday, Mrs. R. V. Johns. Mrs. Charles Ferguson and Mrs:. Ethel Johns called on Mrs. Clarence Cochran Wednesday. .
