“APRIL SHOWERS” IN MARCH

. A couple of “April showers’* came early Sunday morning, and the day was warm and balmy, the temperature reaching the highest point thus far this spring—67 degrees. One oft the showers was accompanied by quite a bit of hail, some of the haitetpnee being as large as walnuts, but there was no wind and consequently little or no damage done. Monday night the mercury, got down to the freezing point and a light rain and sleet fell which covered trees and sidewalks when morning came. At 2 o’clock yesterday afternoon the mercury stood at 38 degrees.
