EDWIN M. LEE IS TURNED OUT

By Goodrich From Indiana Public Service Commission. . Indianapolis, January 22’.- —Edwin M. Lee, appointed a member of the Indiana public service commission as a Progressive by former Governor Ralston a few weeks ago, was removed from office late this afternoon by Governor Goodrich; the governor asserted that he had found Lee to be “incompetent” as a commissioner, “within the sense and meaning of the term incompetency as used in section two of the public service commission act.” Lee’s attorneys stated after the governor announced his decision .that they would confer immediately on the situation arid determine what action to take , for the best interests, of their client. The case probably will be taken to the courts in some manner, it is said. Mr. Lee was at one time Republican state chairman of Indiana and stood high in g. o. p. councils. The action of Governor Goodrich ' plainly demonstrates the feeling of Republican politician toward those who left that party and became Progressives.
