Mrs. W. T. Atwood, mother of Miss Mabel Atwood, domestic science teacher in the city schools, has been very ill for the past few days with heart trouble. Her brother from Akron and a sister from Frankfort came Thursday. The Rensselaer schools closed Thursday afternoon for the Christmas holidays and will take up again on Tuesday following New Year’s.
