EDITOR IS ELECTED ASSESSOR Lafayette, December 13. —The Tippecanoe county board of commissioners held a special meeting yesterday and selected Charles F. Williams, Jr., editor of the Lafayette Leader, county assessor to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Roderick P. Fraser, Republican, last Fraser had two more years to serve. Williams is a Democrat and served one term as city clerk of Lafayette. He was not a candidate for the office.
