HOUSES ARE MORE PLENTIFUL

Shortage of Dwellings Is Abating as Winter Comes. The shortage of dwelling houses, which condition has existed in Rensselaer throughout the summer and fall months, seems to be abating to a degree as winter approaches. At the present time there are ra number of houses seeking tenants, some of them, of course, not being the most desirable from some points of view, but yet adequate to provide housing for anyone desiring to locate in the city. • The more desirable houses that are being offered for rent are still being taken with alacrity, and there is little probability of there being many vacant houses during the winter. One element contributing to this condition is the large number of new homes that have been built recently and the owners are now moving in, leaving a vacant house behind.
