Campaign Cost $373,351, According to Statement by Chairman. Columbus, Ohio, November 18.— The Republican campaign in Ohio cost $373,351.98, according to a statement of expense filed by Charles S.' Hatfield, chairman of the executive'committee, with the secretary of state. Outstanding bills total $134,649.68, with a balance of $67,142.81 in the treasury, leaving a deficit of $68,506.87, according to the statement. Total receipts of the* state committee were $303,880.11, including SIOO,OOO borrowed from a Cincin-
natl bank and secured by a note. Among the big contributors were William Cooper Proctor, Cincinnati, $10,000; R. K. Hynicka, Cincinnati, national committeeman, $lO,-' 000; H H- Tinken, Canton, $lO,000; C. A. Otis, Cleveland, $23,500. There were numerous other SI,OOO contributions, mostly from Cincinnati and Canton. Myron T. Herrick, defeated candidate for the United States senate, reported he spent $7,982.70. The Democratic state organization filed a statement showing $57,555 expended in the Democratic cam- ’ paign.
