ARGENTINE CORN AGAIN

Once again the farmers of the United States are being ruinetjKand driven to starvation by Argentine corn being dumped into our markets. This same thing has happened upon various and . divers occasions since the Democratic party came into power three and a half years ago.

The last shipment of Argentine corn which is to bring ruin and want into the homes of the American husbandmen, reached Peoria, Illinois, one day this week, and simultaneous with its arrival the Republican papers throughout the nation made mention of the fact under glaring headlines, and thousands of the lesser lights will follow suit at once in typical parrot fashion. However, no mention was made of the fact that this corn cost the Republican party $1.04 a bushel, which has been made known by reliable sources.

And these same papers 1 that so freely predicted ruin in the wake of this Argentine corn, reported in their market columns within the same week that the drought .in Argentine has so seriously affected the corn and wheat crops there that an embargo is likely to be placed on all grain shipments leaving the country.

But the Republicans want office, and are going to any and all extremes to gain their end.
