CHAUTAUQUA MEETINGS HELD

Representative of Lincoln Bureau Here for Conference. Charles R. Jones of Chicago, treasurer of the National Lincoln Chautauqua system, has been in Rensselaer for the past two days in conference with the local promoters of the Rensselaer Chautauqua. It has not been determined just what, action will \)e taken with regard to next year’s Chautauqua. It seems to be the unanimous opinion of those in charge of the matter that Rensselaer should have a Chautauqua next year, and there is no doubt on this phase of the question. A contract with the Lincoln system has not yet been signed as there are other concerns also being considered. Another conference will probably follow in a short time when it is probable some definite action will be taken.
