GECKLER HAS GOOD MEETINGS
Wheatfield and Remington Turn Out to Hear Speaker. Hon. John F. Geckler, who spoke in this city Monday evening, also spoke at Wheatfield and Remington on Tuesday and Wednesday nights, respectively. The Democratic band and several auto loads of Rensselaer people accompanied Mr. Geckler to "Wheatfield and they were greeted by a good crowd of local people. Mr. Geckler’s voice showed a great improvement over the night before and he made a stirring appeal for the support of President Wilson from a Progressive standpoint. Owing to the rain Wdenesday night there were not many from here at Remington. The band did not go, but the speaker was greeted by a good sized audience who gave him the closest attention. The next speech scheduled for Remington will be Hon. Claud Bowers on Tuesday, October 31.
