SAND DUNES TO MAKE A PARK
Washington, D. C., October 20. A hearing will be held in the Chicago federal building October 30 on the Taggart resolution directing an inquiry into the desirability of converting the Indiana sand dunes into a national park. Stephen T. Mather of Chicago, assistant to the secretary of the interior, will conduct the hearing. Mr. Mather will formulate a report on the question for the next session of the congress. If the report is favorable, Senator Taggart will attempt to have the dunes bought by the government and converted into a national park.
