Mrs. J. J. Montgomery, who had been visiting her mother, Mrs. Eugene Worn pie, at Rockford, Illinois, for the past two weeks, returned homo yesterday. Mr. and Mrs. Rdbert Carder of Chicago came down Tuesday and accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Babcock left here Wednesday for an automobile trip to French Lick and other points, making the trip in Mr. Carder’s big Haynes car. They will probably be gone until Sunday. Leo E. Glazebrook and Charleg Stalbaum were down from Tefft yesterday. Mr. Glazebrook moved to Tefft one year ago yesterday and this was his first visit to Rensselaer since he went up there. He said that yesterday’s storm was due to the Inefficient management of the weather bureau by the Democrats. At least this is what the Republicans would say, but Lee has been a good Democrat too long to take much stock in what Republican politicians say.
