CELEBRATE GOLDEN WEDDING

Resected Couple Were Married in Germany Fifty Years Ago. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Saltwell, a highly respected German couple residing in Milroy township, celebrated their golden wedding anniversary last Sunday. About eighty relatives and friends were present. They received a number of presents, among which was a gold chain, a gold ring and gold coins. - Mr. and Mrs. Saltwell were married in Germany October 15, 1866, and sailed for America October 17, just two days after they were married, and settled in Milroy township where they have resided for the past fifty years. Mr. Saltwell is now 78 years of age and his wife 73 years. Five daughters were born to them, four of whom are still living. One daughter, Mrs. Harvey Rodgers, died twenty years ago. Those living are: Mrs. Thomas Lear of near Wolcott, Mrs, Lud Clark of Milroy township, Mrs. John Sutton and Mrs. Frank Sutton of Missouri, Mr. and Mrs. Saltwell are enjoying very good health and The Democrat joins their many friends in hoping they may live to enjoy many more years of happiness and prosperity.
