FIRE PREVENTION DAY OCT. 9

It has been recommended by the governor Of the state of Indiana, that on one day to be set apart for that purpose that all property owners and tenants see that their premises are safeguarded from presence of all hazardous conditions; that the attention of the public schools and civic organizations of Indiana be called to the importance of this subject; and that the mayors of Indiana cities join by proclamation in setting apart October 9 as Centennial Fire Prevention day, in order that the state may receive the greatest possible benefit from the Wide dissemination of this doctrine of fire prevention. A PROCLAMATION Now, therefore, I, Charles G. Spitler, as mayor of the city of Rensselaer, do hereby designate Monday, the »th of October, 1010, ass Centennial Fire Prevention day, In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused to be affixed the seal of the city of Rensselaer, this 23d day of September, 1916.
