LAUGHED HIMSELF TO DEATH Prominent Monticcllo Attorney Dies Suddenly in Chicago. Yesterday’s Chicago Record Herald said: “Charles C. Spencer, a lawyer of Hammond and MonUcello, Ind., laughed himself to death in a Chicago theater. The lawyer laughed so heartily during the performance of the Cohan revue that he collapsed in his seat. He was carried to the office of Manager Harry Ridings, but became unconscious and died on the way to a hospital.” * Mr. Spencer, who was about 50 years of age and a prominent Democrat, wag well known to members of the Jasper county bar and to hundreds of readers of The Democrat. Besides being an able lawyer he owned considerable fine land In White county, was a prominent stock gyower and among the wealthiest citizens of his county. His sudden death will be a great shock to his relatives and many friends. Mr. Spencer was unmarried.
