Mrs. J. H. Gilbert of Remington took the train here for Chicago Friday to visit her sister, Mrs. S. E. Yockey, whose health is quite poor.
E. L. Hollingsworth, who had been visiting his daughter, Mrs. H. B. Chadbourne, at Harmony, Maine, returned home Sunday. Mrs Hollingw’orth will remain for a longer visit.
Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Fendig left Sunday for Boston, Mass., where they will attend the Rexall national convention and visit points of interest in the East. They expect to be gone about 10 days.
E. Jensen of Wheatfield received a fracture of the right arm Saturday while at work with a sledge hammer in his blacksmith shop. Mr. Jensen is the father of Mrs. J. P. Hammond of this city.
One hundred fifty invitations have been extended to physicians practicing in the Tenth district to be guests of the physicians of Jasper and Newton counties at an all-day picnic at George Ade’s country home, Ilazelden, near Brook, on next Friday. A big dinner will be a feature of the day and a very enjoyable time is promised the visitors.
