Decline $0:1,000,000 as to Shipments to European Countries, Washington, May. !).—Europe’s foodstuff purchases in the United States, as shown in figures published today by the bureau of foreign and domestic commerce, have fallen off sharply within the last few months, compared with the enormous shipments that crossed the Atlantic in the first year of the war. Foodstuff exports’ in the nine months ending with March show a decline in Value of $63,000,000 from the corresponding period of the year before.
