Monday is the last day for paying the spring installment of taxes. Miss Iva Bill of Jordan tp, has been assisting in the treasurer’s office during the rush of the closing days of the taxpaying period. The taxpayers of Gillam tp., who are affected by the Deselms stone road, recently built in that township, are up in arms over the condition of this road, and The Democrat is informed that -Hie matter is likely to be taken into the courts. They think that the road lacks a whole lot of being up to specifications, and it was understood that an engineer was to go out and examine it yesterday.
