Phone 477. a_2 Meat Animals Sell Higher Washington, March 28.—Prices of meat animals, hogs, cattle, sheep and chickens, were 16.4 per cent, higher on March 15. than they were on that date a year ago and 12.7 per cent, higher than the average of the last six years on March 15. A report of the department of .agriculture today says the level of prices paid to producers of the country for meat animals increased 8.4 per cent, from February 15 to March 15 this year compared with an average increase of 2.1 per cent, in the same period of the last six years. .
