Bacon is a very popular form of the pork diet. Everybody eats it, when they can get it, and some people get it every morning for breakfast. This .little article is to say that pickled pork is a good deal better and more appetizing than bacon. But it has to be cooked just right —fried to a crisp in a batter of flour or cornmeal coating. It used to be that way back in the days before or just after the war. By the side of such a dish, bacon has lost its taste.
